Can't transfer Webshots photos from old computer to new one-Windows Vista?

Hi, Just got a new computer with Windows Vista. Have many, many photos on old box; followed Webshots directions to transfer to "my documents" then download desktop and it will capture photos - didn't happen. Some of the albums are in other folders, some disappeared. And since I use the free membership, Webshots offers no technical assistance. Would appreciate any info on how to solve this problem. Thank you!

If you can get your hands on a usb flash drive, that might work. I assume your old comp has usb (1.1). It will take FOREVER to transfer files to the flash drive from your old comp. Then just put it in your new comp and copy them to my pictures.

Why not use the built in tool in Vista? You will need a transfer cable.

Go to start\all programs\accessories\system tools\Windows easy transfer.

Another method if you have a CD burner on the old computer.

Just put the photos you want on a CDR [makes a good backup], make it readable on any CD drive and you can put the CDR in the drive on your new computer and copy them anywhere you want them.
