Step by step instructions to configure Vista system with a Windows XP Pro system through ICS ?

how can i share my internet connection with my laptop that has Windows Vista Home Premium (client) and my desktop computer (host) that has the internet connection (256kbps Cable connection) and runs on Windows XP Professional? The XP machine has two network cards already installed. I am looking to connect the laptop through ICS. Please advise on step by step instructions of how to do this.

In the network connections window on the WindowsXP computer, you can click on "setup a home or small office network". Run the first option. Don't have to share files but you can share the Internet Connection.

After finishing the setup, disable windows firewall. Check the IP Address given to you LAN connection, It would be the default IP Address 192.168.0.1.

How do you check,

Start, Control Panel, Network Connections. Right Click Local Area Connections and select Properties.

Double Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). It Should be there in Use Following IP Address.

Change the IP Address of the LAN Connection in Windows Vista to 192.168.0.2. If you can find the LAN Connection in Vista, Right Click and change the IP Address as shown above.

I don't have a Vista machine with me so you will have to find out on your own how to change the IP Address.
