What is the difference between windows vista home and wondows vista business??

i am about to buy a new laptop.. i am actually a student but i dunno if i will be needing this business.. what is the difference and which is better. i will end up paying about 150 more dollars for business.. is it worth it ???

Windows Vista "Business Edition" does NOT include Windows media center (think TV, picture editing, etc.) It also doesn't "lock up" as often.

Business edition has better back-up and restore features; fax and scanning capabilities; and better remote access (so a work associate can walk you through problems).

Windows Home Premium has better DVD making; games (Chess Titans, Mahjong, etc.); and Movie Maker.

So it all depends on what you are going to do with your computer. If you want the best of both worlds, you'll want Windows Vista Ultimate--which is more money yet.

some available "features" of the OS. I think business has the new cool looking interface.

You can probably do just fine w/ the Home Premium.

Home basic is a plain jane just OS etc..no coolness..

OR..you could just buy a macbook and it's not an issue. You know you're getting a secure laptop, and OSX is the same on ALL their PCs..
Go with home premium. buisness is really just for buisnesses
Go for Vista Home Basics; Vista Business won't be od any worth to you....it's only for business purposes
