Why does vista close down if I leave for a couple of minutes?

i get so sick of having to log in about 20 times a night..as if I leave for a couple of minutes I come back to the log in screen where I have to type my password then find where I originally was, what am I doing wrong?

What are your power settings on and what is your screen saver. when you go to your screen saver hit advanced and it should take you to power settings click on the option you are using and then see what the times are. Make sure it isnt for only a couple mins. Good luck!

ah.!! crazt...stuff we do always on our comp.......

well you do one thing i.e. go start-%26gt;settings-%26gt;control pannel--%26gt;there is one option called Power option--%26gt; double click on it..and you will get another window with some setting like...harddisk power off ---system stand by time and more..from here u can solve...it...

ive got vista,mine goes off screen if i leave it for a few minutes but if i click the mouse button it comes back on.Does urs not restart on the last page u were on if u click the mouse?if not perhaps u need to change ur settings or reinstall it.Email the microsoft helpdesk for help telling them wot ur computers doing.They will be the best people to help.
