I have windows vista home premium and anytime i try and resart the computer it doesn't work, what should i do?free anti virus

well a few guesses, and need more info.

first guess is, your hdd (harddrive disk) died, it tries to boot up, but finds no hdd, goes through the process of booting up all your plug%26play devices and your hdd (blk screen with all that gibberish) then because it finds no hdd, your monitor just shuts off (starts blinking).

second guess is, well from the lack of info, ur monitor is dead, try another monitor.

when you boot up, do you see any screens? should be some messages that indicate the problem.

Call Windows?? Lol

Theres no point spending lots of time worrying and trying to fix it. Just give them a call and see what they have 2 say.. :]
cry?
You can either do a safe mode set up and get rid of whatever you did before this happend and if screen comes on

You could try a system restore

%26

make sure nothing is plugged into PC like USB leads or extra drives... use as minimum as poss.

Chances are the tiny pins in the Screens plug in the rear of the PC tower are bent in some way or your PC drivers do not support your current monitor ir grafix card and is conflicting.

added: I just realised my monitor is on a different plug than the PC..so check the fuse and cable too...
~get rid of it i heard vista sucked and now they even have commercials bout how bad it is
