1. goto the Microsoft web site and run the capability test.

(make sure your hard ware will work with Vista.).

If all is good, get Vista, But wait a little, because Microsoft are going to stop making the 'Vista upgrade' packs and just sell the Full Vista packs at the cheaper price the upgrade pack are sold. (better deal).

Or buy a Vista OEM from www.ebuyer.com, they cost 拢50 for Vista Basic %26 拢60 for Vista premium. (bargain)

(OEM Vista is the same as normal Vista products).

Also Note 'Windows 7' will be on sale next year, Its based on Vista with some extras that did not make it in time for Vista and a few bonus features too.

I would recommend Vista.

Good points in Vista:-

Can handle higher spec hardware.

Better security

Readyboost

easer to navigate/ quicker to navigate

Looks / preview windows etc.

free software upgrades (eg. Norton 2007 free upgrade 2008).

Change is good = learning new things.

xp will become obsolete first.

Bad Points with Vista:

about 6% slower until you customize %26 tweak the settings.

Program is bigger, so takes more space on the hard drive.
