Why does it take so long for Vista to load a website? Are they planning to fix this?

I just bought a brand new computer with plenty of memory and dual core processors, but it runs slower than my old XP in getting to a web site! What gives? Is this why everyone complains about Vista?

If you have website phishing filter on this can slow loading of pages down in XP or Vista. I also read about problem/conflict between Norton IS and Sonic DLA if it is installed on your system.But I do not know fix for Sonic DLA,but I still run Norton,even with my new laptop with 2GB ram and large HD,every thing from start up to web pages seem to load slower than on my older lap top with Windows XP and only 512 ram.

If your using wireless internet, try connecting it directly to the cable modem or router. If the internet is really fast after connecting, than there is something wrong with your wireless card. I had an issue like that and i exchanged the laptop and it works great now.
Problem sounds like Internet Explorer not Vista, get FireFox or Opera web browser.
It is not Vista is your computer.

You should return it immediately for exchange, Any store gives you 2 weeks return
vista sucks...get a mac
if your on the internet alot you may already have a virus..run your virus check and when thats done..go ahead and defrag your computer. You may have taken on a program that is running on your computer that you are not useing at all.
I've got Vista on all my computers, I don't have problems.
