How do i make my computer have a password? its microsoft vista?

i want t make a password so that if anyone tries to go ion my computer they will not have access without a password. lets just say i cant trust my "friends" anymore.

im using windows vista. i thought you could do it by right clicking on the desktop and messing around but it didnt work out for me.

need help asap. thanks.

To set a password, click start/control panel, and manage users and find you user account and add a password.

Hi there,

setting up a password in Vista is pretty easy and simple.

click Start , go to control panel and then USER ACCOUNTS AND FAMILY.

there click USER ACCOUNTS(you will see the heading on top of the list).

If there is only one USER ACCOUNT, then you will see an options of CREATE A PASSWORD FOR YOUR ACCOUNT, Click it and set the password.

Done.................
