Is the Mircosoft Windows Vista operating software vulnerable to viruses?

All operating systems are vulnerable to viruses. There are fewer for Vista than for XP at the moment, but that will change over time. Also, Vista does have better security and that helps you to avoid viruses. You just have to make sure not to turn the security off, which a lot of people are doing.

If you're worried about viruses, get a Mac.

It's true that no operating system is 100% secure, but Mac OS X has been around for 6 years, has tens of millions of users, and still has no viruses in the wild. Vista has already been shown to be vulnerable to many, although not all, of the viruses that affect Windows XP, and it's a certainty that more viruses will be created to exploit it.

By the way, a lot of people turn off Vista's security because it is so annoying! It constantly gets in the way, aggravating the user and reducing productivity. See the security ad at the site below. It's not an exaggeration!
