you cant transfer, you have to download the software off the internet, or buy the windows vista program and put the software on your desktop. transfering software like that from computer to computer doesnt work.

You cant unless u download Windows Vista and put it on a disk or buy the disk and then put it in the hard drive of your desktop computer and reformat it.

Depending on the version of vista you have you may be able to remove it from one machine and install it on the other. If it came with the machine, then it is an OEM copy, and it is licensed for that hardware. While you could transfer it from one to the other and probably get away with it, it would not be legal.

You can't. But, you can go to www.ubuntu.com and get a WAY better Operating System than Vista! and..... IT'S FREE!!!!!! It's Linux, the free OS! Just download it and burn it to a CD and reboot your computer! Install it and ta da!!! It has a free office suite too!! Openoffice!!!! Just like Microsoft Office only better and free!!!
