It's the most annoying thing to be listening to itunes and all of a sudden (blip!!!!) everytime i recieve a message on google talk or yahoo messenger. how do i make itunes the only thing i hear for a few hours?

Unless it does it for other programs the sounds should only be comming from your messanger, you should be able to turn off the notification of a new messege in the property tab or somewhere on the messenger itself

Shoot the computer and buy a mac. Vista is a cheap knockoff of OS X anyways
